I’m a big fan of the Haven Ever After series, this was a spicy side story for our favorite vampire flirts Alessandro and Pietro. We meet their fated mate Valentina and learn about their past, present, and hopes for the future. It was a good, quick read, but I struggled to connect with the story. I understood the character's POV and their decisions but didn’t understand why it had to be the way it was. We also see Evenia make another appearance. I’m still pissed at her for what we learned in Waltzing With Witches and was disappointed she is still living her best life.
